MARIA DE SOUSA
Maria de Sousa was one of the first internationally acknowledged Portuguese scientists, responsible for revolutionary discoveries in the field of Immunology. Maria was elected as SPI president on two three-year periods (1982-1985; 1985-1988) and declared honorary member on 1999. Maria de Sousa’s outstanding legacy and dedication to Science extends through the world.
