Registrations are now open for the 2019 Champalimaud Research Symposium, to be held in Lisbon, Portugal, from the 8th to the 10th of October 2019.

!!! SPI members benefit from discounted registration fees !!!

The Symposium aims to address how intrinsic and extrinsic environments impact tissue homeostasis. The topic will be highlighted from different angles and include discussion on the homeostatic mechanisms that underlie inflammation, injury, ageing and oncogenic transformation in different tissues of our body. Invited speakers will cover aspects from immunology, cell signaling, genetics and tissue regeneration in different model organisms.

We are delighted that Professor Elaine Fuchs and Professor Richard Locksley kindly agreed to be our keynote lecturers, heading a diverse list of distinguished speakers. The Symposium will be structured as a single-track programme in which talks by a prestigious line-up of invited speakers, as well as speakers selected from submitted abstracts, are interleaved with poster sessions where symposium participants present their research.

The event will be held at our Champalimaud Centre for the Unknown, in a stunning setting on the waterfront in Lisbon, and will also feature a social programme which will give participants the chance to explore this beautiful and historic city.
