Tuberculosis: from the hospital to the bench and back The Portuguese Society for Immunology (SPI) and the Portuguese Pneumologic Society (Tuberculosis Working Group) have the great pleasure to announce the symposia “Tuberculosis: from the hospital to the bench and back” acknowledging the Tuberculosis Day. This symposium will take place on March 20th 2012 at the Life and Health Sciences Research Institute (ICVS), School of Health Sciences (ECS), University of Minho, Braga. We aim at gathering clinicians, students and scientists, to dedicate the full day to learn and discuss the most recent advances on tuberculosis epidemiology, diagnostic techniques and prevention. The goal is to debate to what extent research on tuberculosis is helping the clinicians on their continuous work on the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of tuberculosis. We expect this workshop to be a fruitful day to establish new networks to tackle this devastating disease.
